The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

Qurbani is more than the sacrifice of an animal. It is a timeless act of devotion inspired by Prophet Ibrahim عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ, who was ready to give up what he loved most for the sake of Allahﷻ. This worship reminds us that true faith is obedience, gratitude, and care for those in need.
The word Qurbani comes from qurb – “nearness to Allahﷻ”. By offering Qurbani, you follow the footsteps of Prophet Ibrahim عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ and turn your devotion into a source of food, joy, and relief for the vulnerable.

Qurbani is the religious sacrifice of an animal during Eid al-Adha to honour the tradition of Prophet Ibrahim (AS). It is a spiritual obligation for eligible Muslims and a powerful way to share blessings with those in need.
Every Muslim who is financially able (meeting the Nisab threshold) is required to give Qurbani. This applies to adults who possess wealth above a certain level during the days of Eid.
We use goats, sheep, cows, and bulls—depending on regional preferences and the number of shares selected. Each animal meets the age, health, and condition requirements as prescribed in Islamic rulings.
