Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
Welcome to the Human Aid Foundation. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website (hafuk.org), your interaction with us, and any donations you make. By using this website or making a donation, you accept these Terms & Conditions in full.
2. Our Mission, Values & Donation Policy
- HAF is a UK-registered charity (Charity Number: 1200059) dedicated to providing humanitarian aid, disaster relief, orphan support, water-well projects, food aid, and long-term development across multiple countries. (hafuk.org)
- We operate a 100% Donation Policy, meaning that we commit to using every penny of the donations you make for the charitable causes and projects you choose. (hafuk.org)
- We strictly separate project funds from administrative or marketing funds, ensuring that your donation goes entirely to the cause you pick. (hafuk.org)
3. Donations
- All donations are voluntary. You may choose how much to give and which appeal (project) you wish to support. (hafuk.org)
- Once you make a donation, it is generally final and non-refundable, except in exceptional circumstances (e.g., payment processing error, duplicate payment). This aligns with standard UK charity practice. (charityright.org.uk)
- Refund requests should be directed to our Supporter Care / Finance team via email: info@hafuk.org. Please provide all relevant details (transaction ID, date, amount) so we can evaluate your request.
4. Use of Funds
- Donations are used for the specific appeal or project you selected (e.g., Winter Appeal, Water Appeal, Orphan Sponsorship). (hafuk.org)
- Surplus or remaining funds (if any) from a project may be reallocated to other HAF charitable activities in line with our mission, subject to trustee oversight.
- We publish regular reports and updates (annual / project-wise) to demonstrate how donations are utilized, maintaining accountability and transparency.
5. Data & Privacy
- When you donate or interact with us, we may collect personal data (name, email, address, donation amount). All such data is collected and processed under our Privacy Policy.
- By making a donation, you consent to us using your details to send you updates, appeals, and reports, unless you choose to opt-out.

9. Refund / Donation Return Policy
- Under UK charity law, returning a donation is not standard practice, except in specific or exceptional cases. (GOV.UK)
- Circumstances in which a donation might be refunded could include: technical error, duplicate donation, or other extraordinary situations.
- Refund decisions are made in line with our internal policy and trustees’ discretion, keeping in mind our charitable duties and the guidance from the Charity Commission. (https://hay-kilner.co.uk/home/)
- We will maintain records of refund decisions and the rationale, as required by best practices. (Fundraising Regulator)
